What you will need: 5 ' long- 12" wide- 1" thick plank of wood Pencil Saw Hammer Ruler/Carpenter square Safety Glasses Wood Glue Finishing Nails (about 30) 1.5" Velcro Frames (6) - purchased online Brad nails 5/8 Dimensions: Top 14" X 12" Bottom 9 3/4" X 12 1/4" Side (2) 8" X 11 1/4" Back  8" X 11 1/4" Front 11 1/4" X 6" Rails 2 X 11"-- 3/4" deep Frames 9 1/4" X 6 1/2" X 1 1/2" Step 1: Measure! Measure out all the dimensions above with a carpenter square, tape measure, or ruler and trace with a pencil. What is The Bee Mindful Project?

The Bee Mindful Project came about at the beginning of 2017 when I begun my Girl Scout Gold Award service project. If you didn't already know, the Gold Award is the highest level achievement in the Girl Scouts. In order to receive the award, you must find a problem in your community and try and solve it with a minimum of 80 service hours. Those who receive this award have many opportunities for scholarships and an advantage when applying to colleges. So, not only does this service project give back and help the community, but it also helps girls further their academic future. When researching about what topic I was going to choose for my project back in February, I remembered in the recent news that a bumblebee species had been put on the endangered species list for the first time in the United States.
