Step 1: Measure!
Step 2: Cut!
Saw the wood where you traced the line. Make sure you wear safety goggles so you don't get sawdust in your eyes!
Step 3: Put it together!
Put the pieces together and see where you need to put the finishing nails. Then hammer the nails into the wood. We used about 30 throughout the whole box. In some places where it needed extra support we added wood glue.
Make Sure-
- You don't nail the top piece down because it should be left loose so you open the box to get to the inside. You can use velcro to make sure it stays secure
- You put the front piece in the middle so you leave room for the bees to come in and out.
- You nail the rail for the frames 3/4 of an inch deep in the box to leave room for the frames to rest on.
Step 4: Put together the frames!
We ordered the frames online at https://www.mannlakeltd.com/unassembled-frame-for-double-mating-nuc
and the wax base at https://www.mannlakeltd.com/waxed-rite-cell-reg-for-double-mating-nuc

Put the velcro on the top piece and put in the frames and then you're
